Fee Details for Application

1. Fee for the application (in the form of Money Order/Cashier’s Check):

a. If deceased held an Indian passport: Gratis (No Fee).

b. For Non-Indians: Consular Fee of USD 40.00 (Forty only) for carrying ashes and USD 60.00 (Sixty Only) for carrying mortal remains (body). In addition, an ICWF fee of USD 2.00 (Two Only) towards Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF).

c. For Attestation of Death certificate for each additional copy – Consular Fee of
USD 10.00 (Ten only). In addition, an ICWF fee of USD 2.00 (Two Only) towards ICWF.

d. The fees may be paid through TWO SEPARATE MONEY ORDER/CASHIERS’ CHEQUE, one for Consular Fee and one for ICWF fee, both in favour of “CONSULATE GENERAL OF INDIA”. Cash payment is also accepted at the counter of the Consulate. Applicants are requested to come with exact change for efficient services.

2. Personal checks, Debit cards and Credit cards are not accepted.

3. If the application is sent by postal mail, please send a separate USD 20.00 Cashier’s Check or Money Order for return mail OR include your prepaid envelopes for return mail.
